The December 2nd convoy concluded its trip on Mondaymorning. The convoy was organized by the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector at the Ministry of Interior to mark the UAE’s 42nd National Day. The convoy ultimately concluded at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs General Headquarters in Abu Dhabi. After that, it proceeded to Al Saada Bridge on the Eastern Corniche “Eastern Mangroves”, passed by the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and reached Marina Mall on Abu Dhabi Breakwaters.
The convoy included some of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector’s vehicles. The vehicles displayed the Ministry of Interior’s logo, as well as the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector’s community services’ logos, including the “Amer”, “Closer to You”, and “At Your Service, We Are Happy to Serve You” logos.
Major Nasser Al Zaabi, head of the convoy’s welcoming team, led the convoy along with Major Mohammed Bakhit Al Menhali, Head of Media and Public Relations Section at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi. Traffic patrols and Security Media also joined the parade.
Major Al Zaabi noted that winning the bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai added to joy of the 42nd National Day celebrations. He said that this is a new accomplishment that the country should be proud of.
He added that the National Day is a great national occasion, and is an opportunity to pledge loyalty to the country’s leadership and society, which includes a mixture of both locals and expats. Major Al Zaabi emphasized the importance of fostering safety and security in society, which the UAE has already done well.
Al Zaabi explained that the convoy not only strengthens national values, but also helps in marketing the unique services that the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector provides. Al Zaabi said that the convoy also helps raise foreigner’s awareness regarding entry and residency laws in particular.
