Brigadier
Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-chief of Ajman Police,
has emphasized the ability of the directorate’s members to be creative
in a way that conforms with the Ministry of Interior’s vision of
implementing creative thinking to develop services. He also indicated
that is has been recognized as the most creatively inclined ministry by
the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program.
These remarks
were made by Brigadier bin Alwan at the creative thinking workshop
recently organized by the Strategy and Performance Development
Directorate General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, at the Ajman Police
General Headquarters.
Brigadier bin Alwan noted that the Ajman
Police Directorate has implemented three creative programs, for which it
obtained an Intellectual Property patent. The programs are namely; the
stolen phones program; the e-conditions program, which contributed to
maintaining the environment and reducing financial expenditures; and the
paperless program that links attendance software to identity cards,
which saved trainees’ time and effort.
For his part, Colonel
Mohammed Hamid Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development
Director General, said that what we aspire to keep creative thinking an
essential and necessary requirement for all MoI’s staff members, so that
it becomes an integral part of everyday practices and is implemented on
all levels, taking into account everyone’s creative capacities. He
added: "But the matter requires creating the proper environment that
enhances the sense of creativity among the staff personnel, clients,
partners, suppliers, and community”.
During the workshop,
attendees were briefed on the methodology of creative thinking, the role
of leaders in encouraging innovation as a foundation of success in
institutions, and the necessity of providing moral and technical support
that will help the implementation of these ideas. The workshop also
shed light on the concept of innovation and creativity, defined creative
individuals, and described the role of innovation in problem solving.
The workshop explored the concept of evaluating innovative ideas and the
concept of overseeing their development and methods of usage.
The
workshop was attended by director generals, heads of departments, and a
large number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and constables
from the Ajman Police General Headquarters.
