In a ceremony held in Al Ettihad Hall at the Police College Colonel Saif Ali Al Kutbi, Police College Director in Abu Dhabi launched the Master’s Program for the fourth batch of officers for the academic year 2013-2014. This Program is organized by Postgraduate Studies Department at Police College.
Addressing the gathering, Colonel Al Kutbi welcomed the officers who were accepted at the Police College and enrolled in the program. He highlighted the goals behind the Postgraduate Studies Department’s inception, namely; qualifying the Ministry of Interior’s officers to obtain a Master’s Degree; developing their competencies and skills to achieve excellence in their careers; and enhancing individual and institutional performance levels.
Police College Director called upon the officers who will be taking part in the program to achieve the most benefit from lecturers and faculty members, and to pursue distinguished scientific research to serve police and security work. He also urged them to reconcile work and study, and endeavor to overcome challenges, so as to attain the highest degrees and achieve the best educational levels.
For his part, Major Dr. Nasser Mohammad Al Baker, Director of Postgraduate Studies, congratulated the officers and gave them a brief overview on the schedule of the Master’s Program for the fourth batch of officers in Criminal Justice and Police Management Studies. He encouraged the officers to pay attention to research and to cooperate with their colleagues to achieve the desired benefits, stressing the importance of continuous communication with the administration and faculty members. Concluding, he urged the officers to work diligently to obtain the highest grades and transfer knowledge to their peers to boost their cognitive abilities; wishing them the best of luck and success.
At the end of the ceremony, Police College Director indicated that the Police College is open for useful and constructive comments and proposals aimed at developing the educational process at the Police College and the Postgraduate Studies Department. This would allow academic qualification in various disciplines, notably, Police Sciences, Criminal Justice, and Legal and Administrative Sciences, with a view to hone the officers’ competencies, enable them to overcome security challenges, and keep abreast of technical and educational developments to serve security and police work at the Ministry of Interior.
The ceremony was attended by heads of departments, along with a number of officers from the College.
