The Abu Dhabi Police College Celebrates the 42nd National Day

The Abu Dhabi Police College celebrated the UAE’s 42nd National Day, in the training field of the Police College. The celebration was attended by all batches of officers, recruits and university cadets, in addition to the training and teaching faculty.

Colonel Saif Ali Al Kutobi, Police College Director, chiefs of sections, branch managers,  a large  number of the College’s officers, as well as secondary stage students from Abu Dhabi schools, attended the ceremony held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Education Council.

Al Kutbi stated that December 2nd 1971 is a precious memory commemorated by the Emirati people, stressing that celebrating this occasion reflects the sons of the nation’s appreciation and love for their Leader.

The Police College Director underscored the importance of solidarity between society members to mark this glorious occasion. He also stressed the need for diligent efforts and hard work to instill the concept of the union in the hearts of all citizens, to promote the values of patriotism and allegiance and maintain the national gains as a source of pride for all those who reside on this bountiful land.

Concluding, Colonel Al Kutbi extended his sincere congratulations to the higher leadership on this auspicious occasion.

A group of recruits and university graduates at the college presented a ceremonial formation representing the number 42 and hoisted the UAE flag in appreciation of their pride to belong to this country.

The ceremony held at the Police College’s training field included an array of events including educational, sports and military activities, notably; the cross country race; the tug of war contest; the 400 meters relay long distance race; the silent military march with weapons; and the weapons assembling and dismantling show. The Security Inspection Department ‘K9’ gave a fascinating performance presented by elite trainers, which was highly applauded by the audience.

The Guards and Special Tasks Department (Force 7) presented a field training performance during the celebration, which also featured poem recitations that reflect the love for the country; national songs and Al Ayalla traditional dance were also presented by the  Darwish bin Karam School students and the Military Band.

At the end of the ceremony, Al Kutbi honored the winners and all participating entities.
