Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police said in a speech on the occasion of the 42nd National Day:
This blessed day will always shine upon our nation like a bright sun in our glorious history. As we celebrate the 42nd National Day, we should take a moment to review what has been done to be able to create further success.
Our higher leadership shares the unlimited aspiration of the people. The plan is to exceed keeping up with development to create our own development, progress, and leading position, especially that we live in a rapid pace age where all mechanisms, technologies, plans, and strategies are evolving quickly.
The world is witnessing a rapid growth in means of facing changes. We, at the UAE, are aware of the future that we are creating for our coming generations based on science, acquisition, and innovation to face the crime risks, and combat them in collaboration with the international community. The development that has been and is being achieved is the natural result of the efforts, thoughts, and plans of our wise leadership and the determination of our people to achieve excellence. Our people are united with their leadership, and the leadership is bonded to its people by giving them its attention and providing them with opportunities and possibilities that enable them to develop the country creatively.
The world is being waved with developments as a natural outcome for change. Some of what we see in the world is the result of injustice, oppression, tyranny, and the shift away from ambitions and dreams. Although this is reflected in most societies, we, at the UAE, are enjoying a unity and fusion among the people and their leadership. Whatever is the dream of the people, it is obsession of the leadership that works hard for the prosperity of the people and to answer its needs. The people and the leadership are not living apart, they are cohesive, and the leadership can feel the beating pulse of the people and reflect their dreams. Therefor we became a modern developed country that is compared to none.
In our nation, as noted by our visitors as well as residents and locals, the officials’ doors are wide opened with nothing to obstacle the direct communication between the people and their leaders. We can find this fusion clearly exemplified if you look at the security situation of the country compared to the regional changes; there are no security risks in a country with a unified people greatly supporting the higher leadership.
Abu Dhabi Police solidified some public values, and worked on developing and maintaining them. The values are integrity and honesty at all levels, all the time, and in all conditions. These values are in line with human rights and international norms and standards; the tolerant Sharia; original cultural heritage of the local society; and the Arabic traditions and norms. ADP is committed to deliver its advanced services to the public based on finest manners.
ADP was also able to uplift its capabilities and performance in its work fields to improve the services it provides for all society sectors. The police worked on activating the role it has to do in maintain security to support the developmental process that the country is witnessing in various social activities. In addition to that, the police did massive work in setting international standards of quality and launched tens of leading service projects that can present the bright cultural image of UAE, where everyone is blessed with justice, security, and safety. The police also monitor the provided services to achieve development of the police work.
We pray for Almighty Allah to protect our glorious nation and its higher leadership, and to grant it with success in its efforts to build a modern country. We also pray for the good wellbeing and safety of the country’s President, and their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates. We pray that Allah would grant them the wisdom to continue their efforts in developing the country and glorifying its name. Concluding, I would like to wish the warmest regards for the United Arab Emirates on our National Day, and extend my sincere prayers for the security, development, and prosperity of our nation.
