Graduation of 3 specialized training courses at Abu Dhabi Police

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, December 6th 2013
The Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Weapons and Explosives Department, celebrated the graduation of 30 staff members after completing three
specialized 15-day courses.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel Hamid Al Afrit, Head of the Weapons and Explosives Department at the Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police. Al Afrit
reiterated the ADP’s keenness to upgrade training levels of its staff members and to provide them with up-to-date knowledge and expertise to enable them to deal with all sorts of events and
incidents with high professionalism, using a scientific methodology.
Colonel Al Afrit commended the Weapons and Explosives Department’s specialized training institute, as one of the significant achievements of Abu Dhabi Police, pointing out that the Institute
leverages the expertise of highly skilled British security specialists. He also praised the efforts of the German police lecturers from Hanover during the courses’ scenarios and practical
exercises.
