For long term, short term and domestic workers visas
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, November 9th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The
Ministry of Interior launched a long term, short term and domestic
workers visas service via the smart phones application (UAE MoI). The
new service enables UAE citizens and residents to obtain visas easily
without the need of visiting the centers to apply for them, unless the
cases require visiting the concerned centers.
Major General
Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry
of the Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs
stressed the keenness of the UAE government to provide a quality
standard of life for its citizens. He said that this keenness reflects
the Ministry’s strategy to provide excellent services that boost the
confidence of the public, and increase the satisfaction levels of
clients regarding the provided services as per the best international
standards.
He noted: “the new visa service will be available on
smart phones applications, and it will be connected to the database
which will enable the clients to benefit from it directly. Transactions
will be audited automatically, the applicant will be informed about this
procedure and the visa will be delivered to the applicant at his/her
place of choice.”
Major General Al Khaili mentioned that work is
currently undergoing to redesign the procedures in a way that enables
e-sending of the visa to all UAE exits and to e-mail addresses. “The aim
of this step is to completely eliminate the need for paper work by the
beginning of next year,” He added.
Acting Assistant
Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Naturalization,
Residency and Ports Affairs affirmed the efforts being made to develop
all services in the sector and provide them to UAE citizens and
residents at all times and wherever they are. He said that in
cooperation with all partners, most of the e-links will be reduced and
the services will be provided through several e-channels, especially the
smart phones applications (UAE MoI).
He invited the public to
communicate with the call center on 8005000 or on the e-mail dedicated
for applications at: Mobile@moi.gov.ae for more information.
