ADP: Graduation of 4 Courses at the Ports Security Institute

The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 59 participants after completing four one-week specialized courses in a number of police sciences.

Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Training Branch Manager at the Ports Security Institute indicated that the courses embody the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to develop its human cadre’s competencies and efficiency in the various areas related to police work, to further promote security and stability in the country.

Lt. Colonel Awad added: “The training mechanism allows for more developed and advanced courses, with a view to keep abreast of all developments as per international-best practices. This would positively enhance police staff’s level of performance, and consequently improve the services provided to the various segments of society.

Moreover, she indicated that a total of 59 participants from the various police departments, including one participant from Lebanon, attended the four specialized courses. They were acquainted with a number of police tasks pursuant to their respective jobs.

At the end of the ceremony, the graduates were handed over their certificates, in the presence of a number of officers and officials from the Ports and Airports Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police.
