In
collaboration with the Knowledge Higher Committee, the Knowledge Center
at the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, Abu
Dhabi Police General Headquarters, , organized the third Knowledge and
Ideas Exchange Forum titled "Lessons Learned from the Attack at
London's Cumberland Hotel”.
The forum, which was held at the
Forensic Evidence Hall at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, was
attended by Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director
General of Human Resources in Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters,
along with a large number of officers and staff members from Abu Dhabi
Police General Headquarters.
Major Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al
Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development at
Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, inaugurated the Forum and
welcomed the audience. "This forum complements our methodology and
embodies our commitment to continuously spread the knowledge culture
across all sectors, by implementing the best practices. It is also an
opportunity to discuss and review distinguished experiences, and to
exchange and develop knowledge," he added.
Speaking at the forum
was a team of high-ranking investigators from the Homicide and Major
Crime Command (HMCC) at the British Metropolitan Police, who
participated in the arrest of the suspects involved in the heinous
attack on the three Emirati sisters in their London hotel room.
Detective
Superintendent Carl Mehta, Head of investigations at Metropolitan
Police, gave an overview of the methodology adopted by the Metropolitan
Police to protect the city and achieve the highest levels of security
and safety. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Chalmers, who led the
investigations into the attack on the three Emirati sisters at London’s
Cumberland Hotel, explained the details of the incident and the
procedures that were undertaken to collect evidence; uncover the
circumstances of the crime; and arrest the culprits.
