While Honoring Winners of the Commander General’s Award for Implemented Proposals
The
Ministry of Interior has honored a number of outstanding officers and
non-commissioned officers, winners of the Commander General’s Award for
Implemented Proposals, as part of the Minister of Interior's Excellence
Award in its third edition 2014, for the Undersecretary of the Ministry
of Interior and the Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs’
sectors. The honoring ceremony was held in the auditorium at the
Ministry of Interior’s headquarters.
In his address on
this occasion, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at
the Ministry of Interior, stressed that the epic achievements made by
the ministry by winning 16 awards and medals at the Mohammed bin Rashid
Government Excellence Award were the result of the diligent efforts
exerted by a joint work team that believes in excellence. “There was a
vigorous competition between the federal ministries; and although the
culture of excellence is widespread across those ministries, the
Ministry of Interior was a forerunner in this area and supported the
other ministries in their quest to achieve excellence,” added Lt.
General Al Sha’far.
Furthermore, he indicated that this
accolade embodies the strategic objective of the Ministry of Interior
to encourage submitters of constructive proposals and motivate the
ministry’s staff members. This would provide a suitable environment,
conducive to creativity and innovation and inspire employees to adopt
good ideas and proposals that help to develop police work.
Lt.
General Al Sha’far also emphasized that the Ministry of Interior will
pursue this approach, inspired by the directives of the higher
leadership and under the guidance, support and follow-up of Lt. General
HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister
of Interior, to elevate the MoI to the most prominent and prestigious
stature. Al Sha’far also noted that the ministry has outranked similar
ministries in advanced countries in the provision of services to the
public.
He added: “We take pride in the achievements
made by our creative officers that have been adopted as a work
methodology by the ministry in its quest to remain in the front row.”
Lt. General Al Sha’far called upon the officers to achieve further
excellence in work, improve performance in all areas and to exert
further efforts in the upcoming period; wishing them the best of luck
and success.
At the end of the ceremony, Lt. General
Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far honored the winners of the Implemented
Proposals Award for the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and
the Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs’ sectors; accompanied
by Brigadier Mohammed Khalifa Al Marar, Director General of
Undersecretary Diwan at the Ministry of Interior; and Colonel Saif Al
Ketbi, Police College Director. The ceremony was attended by Colonel
Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Public Relations
Department at the Ministry of Interior and a number of officers at the
Undersecretary Diwan at the Ministry of Interior.
